lidsadm -S -- -LIDS foo lidsadm -S -- +LIDS
Note that if you work on protected files and do something that modify their device or inode number, they won't be protected anymore as these numbers are only read at startup and when reloading conf. Don't forget to issue a lidsadm -S - +RELOAD_CONF.
You can also switch LIDS only locally. That means that LIDS will seems off only for the program which executed lidsadm (usually a shell), and for programs whose parent, grand-parent or grand-grand-parent is this shell.
lidsadm -S -- -LIDS_LOCAL foo lidsadm -S -- +LIDS_LOCAL
